Oilseed

Cottonseed is a valuable co-product of lint production. The seed is used for the production of cooking oil (with the meal being sold into the stock feed industry) or for straight use as a highly valued feed supplement.

Seed that is extracted at the cotton gin is either sold domestically or boxed and sold to countries such as Japan and South Korea.

Canola is grown on Twynam's southern properties. Twynam is a supporter of the use of non genetically modified seed.

Both black and white eyed soybeans have been grown on Twynam properties along with black and grey striped sunflower crops.

Safflowers are grown under contract for oil extraction with whole grains or semi processed oil being shipped to India.
