| Cotton |
The cotton grown includes both Upland and Pima (long stapled) varieties. Approximately 80% of the cotton grown is genetically modified, which reduces reliance on chemicals. We believe that this reduction of chemical use has a positive environmental impact.
The cotton grown generally has the following characteristics: colour of 21-2, staple length of 1.14, micronairre of 3.8-4.5, gms/tex of 29 minimum, and uniformity in the mid 80s.
All properties are BMP (Best Management Practise) accredited, demonstrating Twynam’s commitment to the environment, sustainable farming and communities. |
